Securing a Social Case Study Report
About the Service: The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) and other government hospitals and NGOs provide indigents with medicines, laboratory and surgical assistance. Before a beneficiary can avail of this assistance, he/she is required to secure a Social Case Study Report from the MSWDO.

Securing Certificate of Indigency
About the service: A certificate of indigency is required by the Public Attorney's Office (PAO) before it can accept program beneficiaries.  The PAO, an office run by the Department of Justice (DOJ), provides free legal assistance to indigents.
Requirements: (1)Barangay Certification of Residency (2)Certification from the City Assessor's Office regarding non-ownership of real property Certificate from the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) that the beneficiary is as a non-tax filer

Availing of Assistance in Crisis Situations (AICS)
About the service: The Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) provides emergency financial assistance or referrals for free service to individuals and families who are in extremely difficult situations and have inadequate resources.
The situations covered are:
"    Death of a family member - burial assistance
"    Being stranded within the municipality or losing money to pickpockets - food and transportation assistance
"    Need for medicine not available at the City Hospital - medical assistance
Requirements:
"    Burial Assistance - Photocopy of relative's Death Certificate
"    Food and Transportation Assistance - Police blotter, in case client is a victim of pickpockets
"    Medical Assistance - Doctor's Prescription

Availing of Care and Protection for Children under Difficult Circumstances
About the service: The Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) assists children and youth whose basic needs have been deliberately unattended to by their parents or guardians or have been victims of any form of child abuse.
Who may avail?: The clientele cover:
"    Street children
"    Abandoned and neglected children
"    Physically abused children
"    Sexually abused children
"    Victims o rape, incest and acts of lasciviousness
"    Emotionally abused children
Service Coverage:
"    Rescue of victims
"    Counseling
"    Assistance in securing medical certificate, medico legal services and reporting to the Philippine National Police for police blotter
"    Temporary shelter and custodial care
"    Family reconciliation

Availing of Disaster Relief Assistance
About the service: The Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) pro-actively provides assistance to individuals and families who are victims of natural or man-made calamities such as typhoons, floods and fire.
MSWDO disaster relief assistance covers :
"    Distribution of relief goods
"    Delivery of free food commodities to evacuation centers
"    Provision of limited housing materials for families whose homes have been totally damaged
"    Counseling for individuals and families who have been emotionally and psychologically depressed by the disaster.
The Office also facilitates the provision of financial assistance from the national government offices (e.g. Department of Social Welfare and Development, Office of the Civil Defense) and other agencies to the families of disaster casualties

Availing of Physical Restoration Assistance
About the service: This program is intended for visually, auditory impaired, orthopedically handicapped persons and other forms of impairments. It provides assistive devices that will enable physically handicapped persons to integrate into the mainstream of community.
Requirements: (1) Certification from the doctor or attending physician indicating the need for the assistive gadgets or assistance.
